"Reading gives us someplace to go when we have to stay where we are." -American Author Mason Cooley

In honor of Jacob's hard work and tireless energy, the White Bear World Library has been renamed Jacob's Library. There are hundreds of books in the library on every topic imaginable. Jacob the Librarian knows each and every one.  He spends the day helping visitors, doing research and dusting and shelving books when they need it.

Jacob is excited to let you know that the Children's Library is adding more books every day.  Each book in the Children's Wing centers around diversity because kids come from all walks of life. They come in all colors, shapes, sizes, genders, religions and cultures.  They have a wide variety of physical and emotional abilities. They can be sick or healthy, rich or poor, or anywhere in-between. Jacob believes every child should be celebrated. Come to the library, choose a book and celebrate the amazing world we live in and the amazing kids that bring us joy and teach us new things every day. It's all about encouraging, respecting and supporting each-other by learning and appreciating the beauty in everyone we read about.

Join Jacob every Tuesday morning for Story Time Hour when he will read a story from the newest additions to the library.  Make sure you join the fun. If you know of a book that you want added to the library, make sure you leave a comment on this page.

The White Bear Library is dedicated to diversity in Children's Literature.
